Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to revisit the criteria set forth for the promotion of our 8th-grade students for our 2026-2027 promoting class.
During registration week, we thoroughly discussed these requirements with both students and parents. ensuring clarity and understanding before signatures were affixed to the agenda paper.
/\s communicated during registration. there are specific qualifications and disqualifications for participation in bolh 1hc 8th-grade field trip and promotion ceremony.
We would like to remind families of the eligibility requirements for 8th grade end-of-year activities and the promotion ceremony. as outlined on page 32 of the 2026-2027 Agenda Book.
End-of-Year Activity Eligibility To participate in end-of-year activities, students must meet the following behavioral expectations:
- Students may not have more than four (4) referrals during the school year.
- Students must have zero (0) suspensions.
These guidelines are in place to promote a positive school environment and to ensure that all students demonstrate responsible behavior throughout the year.
Promotion Ceremony Eligibility In order to participate in the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA for the school year. Academic success is an important milestone. and this requirement reflects our commitment to preparing students for high school and beyond.
We encourage all students to remain focused. make positive choices. and seek support when needed. If you have any questions regarding your child's current status or need additional infom1ation. please contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
Donovan Post
